CGM detail noted daytime time-in-range was similar overall. A larger share of people on inhaled insulin achieved higher time-in-range, though some also saw declines—again reflecting a broader spread.

Inhaled mealtime insulin plus daily basal offers another viable option. It can be especially helpful for people who want fewer injections and faster mealtime coverage, provided they are engaged with CGM-guided dosing and comfortable with the dosing rhythm. Longer follow-up will help clarify long-term lung safety and evening correction patterns.
